Vicky Turner was relieved to be wearing her Equitector Boots when she had a nasty accident and is convinced her boots saved her from a serious injury...
" I was wearing my Equitector Boots whilst out riding on the roads in March. without warning and with such quickness my dear old horse collapsed and died landing on my lower leg and ankle, and I hit my hip, pelvis and shoulder hard on the road.
Luckily I did not hit my head or fall under any vehicles. I would like to say that your boots most definitely did their job, as my toes were unharmed, and I am sure the boot's sturdy construction prevented my ankle and foot bones from breaking, although I have severe muscle and ligament damage down the whole of my right side as one might expect.
Also I was able to remove my boot immediately because they are lace up. I am certain that had I been wearing ordinary jodhpur boots or long boots I could not have removed them and that my foot/ankle would have broken.
The incident has not deterred me from riding and I will be having another horse when I am recovered, I was originally attracted to your boots by the temperature
control feature because I suffer with cold feet, but they are much more than
that!! "
All at Equitector wish Vicky a speedy recovery and thank her for telling us her story. If you have a tale that you would like us, please do Contact Us
